In today’s photographic world, who doesn’t fear the onset of wrinkles? The lure of looking 10 years younger is appealing but doesn’t have to involve Botox, fillers or cosmetic surgery. Restoring your youthful appearance could be just a few acupuncture sessions away.
While Botox is a temporary fix, where the long term effects have yet to be ascertained, it is also noted that Botox impacts the neuron chemical responses of the brain. Cosmetic acupuncture on the other hand is totally non-toxic and the treatments are organic. Cosmetic acupuncture works with the energy in the body to stimulate cells on the face and promote collagen production. The fine needles help to wake up facial muscles and tighten sagging muscles. Fine lines begin to disappear, deep lines, acne and rosacea improve. This is why cosmetic acupuncture is so effective, without the use of drugs, surgery or harsh stimulation.
Sticking needles in the face is not some new phenomenon but has been practiced by Chinese physicians for some 5000 years and because of this it is not uncommon for ones overall health to benefit, as it is a whole body treatment. Often people find other ailments also begin to correct themselves. The treatment has recently gained popularity thanks to stars like Kim Kardashian and our own Rachel Finch.
What should you expect?
We place fine needles in the face or neck and around the eyes, in conjunction with traditional body points. This allows the face to lift itself as the needles stimulate blood and circulation. Each treatment is tailored to the individual.
The treatment also incorporates a jade roller, herbal mask, ultrasound and lasts approximately an hour.
Can I have Cosmetic Acupuncture if I have already had Botox?
Cosmetic Acupuncture can reverse the effects of Botox, so it is recommended that you wait until your injections have worn off or we work on another area of the face.
